Our Silky natural sea sponge tampon contains no synthetic fibers, pesticides, or chlorine. They are completely natural sponges sustainably harvested by hand from the Mediterranean Sea. They are exceptionally absorbent on their own and even contain naturally occurring enzymes that inhibit odors and the growth of bacteria in addition to containing healthy sea minerals.

Silky tampons offer more than a wholesome, highly absorbent alternative. Once moistened, they are silky soft and conform to the vaginal wall, thus preventing skin irritation otherwise caused by rough, synthetic alternatives.  Silky tampons are easy to insert and remove, and worth a try.

How to use

1. Wet to Soften
2. Insert Vaginally
3. Remove to Rinse
4. Reinsert!

Useful tip: Add a small cotton rope to you sponge for an easy removal.

Sizes:

• Tiny Silky tampon
  Size Tiny 1-1.5 inches ideal for teens and super light flow.
• Mini Silky tampon
  Size Mini 1.5-2 inches ideal for vaginal hygiene cleaning or for light o moderate flow.
• Light Silky tampon
  Size Light 2-2.5 inches ideal for moderate flow.
• Regular Silky tampon
  Size Regular 2.5-3 inches ideal for moderate to heavy flow.

Maintenance instructions

First, to extend the life of your natural sponge, soak it for 15 minutes – every few weeks – in 1 cup of lukewarm water plus 1 tablespoon of baking soda, then rinse it and let it dry (preferably hang it in a drying bag) and it will be ready to use. The baking soda will rejuvenate its cellular structure, naturally clean it thoroughly and will greatly increase the durability of your sponge!!!
If you are using it as a tampon just repeat the above process with more frequency, every day or every other day.

NEVER use bleach on a natural sponge as it will weaken the structure over time. Also do not use a microwave or clothes dryer. This will shrink and harden your sponge. Finally never use hot water on your sponge , because you may damage it!!!

Generally you should know that before each use your sponges need to be left under lukewarm water to soften and get their final shape (size) .This is due to the fact that natural sponges are harder when dry and become very soft-soft-swollen when wet as they are highly absorbent!
