Composition & Origin
Composition: Both the base and inner tray are made from PLA (Polylactic Acid) – a fully biodegradable, biobased, thermoplastic polymer derived from corn starch or sugar cane. The PLA used is produced from industrial waste, and therefore 100% recycled. It comes from Belgium or Germany. A French plant oil was added to plasticise the material, and calcium carbonate to give it a matte, powdery, more attractive appearance, while also making the PLA more resistant.
